This guide walks through every screen of your Truesize company dashboard and tells you what each setting does. If you want the bigger picture first, read How Truesize works.
Sign in at auth.truesize.co.uk and choose Company login. The menu on the left has these sections:
| Section | Screens |
|---|---|
| Overview | Your numbers for the last 30 days |
| Catalog | Products, Size charts |
| Install | Widget, Domains, API keys |
| Insights | Analytics |
| Account | Billing, Notifications, Settings |
| Developers | Developer documentation (by approval) |
Create your account
- Go to auth.truesize.co.uk/register.
- Enter your company name, your name, email and a password, and tick the box to accept the terms. Adding your website, platform and country is optional but helps us.
- You land in your dashboard with a site key, a secret key and a few sample products, so you can try everything straight away.

Overview
The first screen shows how the advisor did over the last 30 days:
- Recommendations: how many times shoppers got a size.
- Sizes selected: how many shoppers chose the size we suggested.
- Orders tracked: orders your shop has told us about.
- Return rate: the share of tracked orders that came back.
- A daily chart of recommendations. Detailed charts are included in paid plans.
If your last payment failed you will see a banner with a link to update your payment method.
Products
Catalog → Products is the list of items shoppers get size advice for. A product needs a Product ID and at least one size.
Add a product by hand
Press Add product and fill in:
- Product ID: your shop's own ID for this product. The widget uses this ID to know which product it is on, so it must match what you put in the install snippet. It cannot be changed later.
- Name, and optionally an SKU, a product page URL and an image URL.
- Category: tops, bottoms, shoes or basics. This decides which questions shoppers see and which learned data is shared between similar products.
- Brand, Gender (men, women or unisex) and Cut (slim, regular or loose).
- Sizes: the sizes you sell, such as
S, M, L, XLor7, 8, 9, 10. The advisor only recommends sizes from this list. - Active: switch it off to stop giving advice for the product without deleting it.
Import many products
Press Import products, download the Excel template, fill it in and upload it (CSV works too). Columns, in any order:
| Column | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
external_id |
Yes | Your product ID. Re-uploading the same ID updates the product. |
name |
Yes | |
sizes |
Yes | Separate sizes with ` |
category |
No | tops, bottoms, shoes or basics. |
brand, gender, cut, url, image_url |
No | Gender is man, woman or unisex. Cut is slim, regular or loose. |
You get a summary afterwards of what was added, what was updated and which rows had a problem (with the line number). Importing is available on paid plans. On any plan you can press Add sample products to get a small catalogue to experiment with. You can delete the samples any time.
Plan limits
Each plan has a maximum number of products. If you go over, extra rows are skipped and listed in the import summary.
Size charts
Catalog → Size charts lets you tell Truesize how your sizes map to height and weight. The advisor uses your chart before its built-in one, so this is the best thing you can do to improve the first answers.
- Press New size chart and give it a name, for example "Men's shirts".
- Choose the Gender and, optionally, a Category (leave it empty to cover all categories).
- Optionally, enter a Product ID to make the chart apply to one product only. A product chart beats a category chart.
- Add a row per size with the height range (cm) and weight range (kg) that size is meant for. You need at least two rows. Ranges can overlap, which is normal: neighbouring sizes share people.
Tip: use your real size guide. If your brand measures chests or waists instead, convert to the typical height and weight of the people who buy each size.
Widget
Install → Widget controls how the size advisor looks and gives you the code to paste.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Primary colour and Text colour | The button and highlights. Pick colours that match your shop. |
| Button text | The words on the launch button, such as "Find my size". |
| Language | The language of the questions. Truesize includes Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish, Polish and English. |
| Position | Inline puts the button inside your page; Bottom right or Bottom left floats it over the page. |
| Place the button inside | For inline only: a CSS selector for where the button should appear, such as .product-form__buttons. Leave it empty to place it where you paste the script. |
| Border radius | How rounded the corners are, from square (0) to very round (32). |
| Show confidence | Show or hide the confidence meter in the result. |
| Show "Powered by Truesize" | Hiding the badge is available on plans with white-label. |
There is a live Preview so you can try the advisor on one of your products before it goes on your site. The preview works even before you register your shop's domain.
Install the widget
Copy the snippet from the page and paste it once on your product page template, replacing PRODUCT_ID with the product's ID (your template usually has a variable for this):
<script src="https://api.truesize.co.uk/api/v1/widget.js"
data-site-key="YOUR_SITE_KEY"
data-product-id="PRODUCT_ID"
async></script>
Optional settings you can add to the same tag:
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
data-lang="fr" |
Force a language on this page. Handy for multilingual shops. |
data-target=".my-selector" |
Put the button inside this element. |
data-label="Which size?" |
Change the button text on this page. |
data-icon="off" |
Hide the small icon on the button. |
data-inline="true" |
Always keep the button in the page, never floating. |
React to the shopper's choice
When a shopper presses Choose size in the result, the widget sends a browser event you can use to select that size in your own size picker:
document.addEventListener('truesize:size', (e) => {
console.log(e.detail.size, e.detail.recommendationId)
})
You can also call TrueSize.onSize(callback), TrueSize.open() and TrueSize.close() from your own code.
Domains
Install → Domains is the list of websites allowed to use your site key. This protects you: if someone copies your key they still cannot use it on another site.
- Add your shop's address as a bare domain:
shop.com.www.shop.comis treated the same. - Use
*.shop.comto allow every subdomain, for exampleuk.shop.comandde.shop.com. - Each plan allows a number of domains. Need more? Upgrade on the Billing page.
- If the widget does not show up on your live site, the domain is the first thing to check.
API keys
Install → API keys holds the two kinds of key:
- Site key (starts with
pk_) goes in the widget snippet. It is safe to be visible on your pages. - Secret key (starts with
sk_) is for your own server. It lets your shop send products and orders to Truesize. Never put it in a web page, app, or code repository.
You can:
- Create a key with a name and an optional expiry in days. A new key is shown once, so copy it straight away.
- Rotate a key to replace it: you get a new key, and the old one keeps working for a short overlap so you can deploy the change. Choose Revoke old now to cut it off immediately, for example if it leaked.
- Revoke a key to switch it off for good.
You can have up to 10 active keys of each kind. We email you when a key is created, rotated or revoked, so a stolen login cannot change keys without you noticing.
Analytics
Insights → Analytics shows how the advisor is affecting your shop. Choose the dates at the top.
- Widget funnel: how many shoppers opened the advisor, selected a size and added to cart.
- Recommendations per day: usage over time.
- Orders and return rate: your orders by status (waiting for the return window, kept, returned) and how many returns were for size reasons.
- Followed vs ignored: the return rate of shoppers who bought the size we suggested compared with those who did not. This is the clearest proof that the advisor works.
- Products with fit issues: products where many size-related returns suggest they run small or large. Consider updating the size guide or the product description.
Orders and returns appear once your shop reports them. If you see "Report orders from your server to see this comparison", ask your developer to connect orders (they can request access to the Developers section). Detailed analytics are included in the Growth plan and above.
Billing
Account → Billing shows your plan, this month's usage and your invoices.
- Recommendations this month shows how much of your allowance you have used.
- Switch between Monthly and Yearly billing and select a plan to pay securely through Stripe. Some plans have a one-off set-up fee, shown before you pay.
- Open the Stripe billing portal from this page to update your card.
- Cancel subscription stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you can Resume before then.
- Invoices and receipts are listed at the bottom.
See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
Notifications
Account → Notifications is an inbox for things that matter: payments and receipts, usage warnings at 80% and 100%, key changes, and security notices. The same messages are emailed to you. You can mark everything as read to clear the badge.
Settings
Account → Settings has three tabs.
- Company: your company name, website, platform and country, and the Return window in days. The return window is how long you let customers send items back. Orders are counted as kept after this many days (plus a few days for delivery), which is when they start teaching the advisor. Set it to match your real returns policy.
- Password: change your password. We email a confirmation and sign you out of your other devices.
- Your login: see where you are signed in and sign out other devices if you do not recognise one.
Developers
Developers is for the person who connects your shop to Truesize. The developer documentation and a ready-made Postman collection are not shown to everyone. Press Request access, say what you want to build, and our team reviews it. You get an email when it is approved, and the guide then opens in this section.
Common questions and fixes
The button does not appear on my site
- Is your domain listed under Domains? This is the most common cause.
- Does the
data-product-idmatch the Product ID of a product that is Active in Products? - Is the snippet on the product page template, with your real site key?
- Is your account active, and have you got recommendations left this month? Check Billing.
The widget says the advisor is busy
Your monthly allowance is used up. Upgrade your plan or wait until next month.
The questions are in the wrong language
Set the Language in Widget settings, or add data-lang to the snippet on that page.
My confidence is always low
Add a size chart and make sure orders and returns are being reported. See How Truesize works.
